I’ve had Revolut for a little more than 3 years. Compared to Wise and Xoom on a global payments front, I find it much easier to use and while there are now fees for transfers, they’re still often less than traditional banks. The investment products are straight forward and the addition of robo accounts is welcome. They focus on making the experience simple and accessible.

Everything is so easy to use. I’ve never had an issue. Sometimes it takes a while for the transfer to go trough for large sums of money but I don’t mind it too much. It’s just safe and easy overall.

I chose to use Revolut as one of my primary accounts because I genuinely like their services and rarely run into issues. However, when I finally needed support, the experience was beyond disappointing. I pay for Revolut Metal ($16.99/month), which is supposed to include priority customer service, but what I got was the worst support experience ever. I disputed a charge, and not only did it take two days just to get a response, but when I finally reached an agent, she was useless, dismissive, and refused to escalate my issue. I requested a supervisor over a dozen times, and instead of helping, the agent ignored my request, sent robotic replies, and wasted my time. Even after I explicitly told her not to respond unless it was to transfer me, she kept messaging me with generic, useless replies. It’s as if their support team is trained to frustrate customers into giving up. It’s been a few days now and still no supervisor. Revolut advertises premium service for paid users, but in reality, their support is slower, worse, and more unhelpful than a free service. If you ever have a dispute or issue, don’t expect any real help—you’ll just get stuck in an endless loop of “please wait” or “I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this” while they refuse to do their jobs. Another major downside of Revolut is the $1,200 monthly ATM withdrawal limit, which feels restrictive compared to other banking options. While the overall service is good when things are working smoothly, the moment you need real support, you’re left completely stranded. Revolut may be great when everything is running fine, but the second you need real assistance, you’ll realize just how awful their customer service is. It’s nothing but scripted responses, unhelpful agents, and a total refusal to take responsibility. If you ever have a serious issue, good luck—you’re on your own.
